Jenna and Jake’s Legacy Hill Farm Wedding in Red Wing, Minnesota

Jul 14, 2018

This is one of those blog posts that I almost cannot write because I’ve had the hardest time describing the joy felt at this wedding. It’s also taken me an entire year to get a blog post up. 🙂 I met Jenna two years ago at my sister’s bachelorette party. I immediately noticed how generous and thoughtful she was not to mention a great dancer (she is a cheerleader after all)! Her fiancĂ© Jake happened to also be a groomsmen in my sister’s upcoming wedding the following weekend. Jake and my now brother-n-law, Chris go way back. In fact they were both cheerleaders at University of Arkansas and now both coach college cheerleading! Fast forward to a year ago and I had the privilege to fly to the beautiful state of Minnesota (I CANNOT wait to go back) and stayed at a charming Airbnb. Once we arrived in Minneapolis it was three days of flower prep and design. I brought my daughter with me to help and she was the perfect lighthearted balance plus a great water pick filler! We binge watched World of Dance at night while trying to keep all the flowers cool. It’s definitely a bit humid/warm in July (90+ degrees). However, despite the heat, the flowers turned out beautifully, the wedding was gorgeous and I got to see my sister for the first time in almost a year! On their one year anniversary I am wishing Jenna and Jake many more wonderful years together! Cheers to your One Year Anniversary! You two are worth all the celebrating in the world!

Vendor Shout Outs: I want to also give a couple of shout outs: Stephanie Nachtrab, the photographer was a dream to work with, so funny and friendly, she captured their wedding day beautifully! Kastina Morrison helped Jenna plan and coordinate her day. She led the entire day with grace and ease. Her new role as GM for Brick and Mortar is only just the beginning. Watch out Minnesota, you’ve got a real #ladyboss in the works! The sweetest gals from We’ve Got It Covered did a fabulous job helping me hang up my arbor arrangements as well as draping the entire venue (I wish they were closer). The kind family behind Legacy Hill Farm were very gracious in letting us into the property early. Thy have one beautiful country-french-chic venue. From the soft blue and white accents in the bridal suite to the stunning white pavilion and barn, I highly recommend this property!
